![]() ![]() In the 1960s and early 1970s Arrow had a monopoly on the log flume business, producing over 50 flumes by 1979. When Six Flags Over Mid America opened in 1971, it featured twin flumes. Cedar Point added Shoot the Rapids in 1967, and Six Flags Over Texas and Six Flags Over Georgia both added second flumes in 1968. The ride was so popular that some parks started adding second flume rides to help reduce the long lines. Log flumes proved to be extremely popular and quickly became staples at amusement and theme parks throughout the world. The Mill Race, Arrow Log Flume number two, opened just a few weeks later at Cedar Point. The first modern day log flume amusement ride constructed by Arrow was El Aserradero at Six Flags Over Texas in Arlington, Texas, which opened in 1963 and is still in operation. It was not until Karl Bacon of Arrow Development got involved and studied hydrodynamics that the use of water flow in an amusement ride was fully exploited. How to buy tickets to Santa’s Village New Hampshire There is just so much to do in the main park we spend all of our time there or we visit the park in the fall and it is too cold to enjoy. While we have friends who go to Santa’s Village just for this water park, we have never made it over. The water park is included in the price of admission to Santa’s Village. The are temperature has to reach at least 65 degrees for this part to open because the water is not heated. From late May to early October, kids can make a splash at Ho Ho H2O. If you visit the park on a hot day, be sure to pack a bathing suit and make a splash at Santa’s Water park. My 4 year old loved it and she scares easily. The ride can look a bit spooky like a haunted house, but it really isn’t scary at all. They get points for how many humbugs they hit. Scrooge’s home has just been renovated! Kids can sit in a four person ride through his house to shoot humbugs with a “giggle gadget” which is basically a laser gun. My kids love going through the covered bridges. It’s a great way to get your bearings of where everything is. The train station is just up to the left when you enter the park. This is a slow scenic train ride that goes around the park. I mean, what is more fun for a kid than driving their own car around? They get to splash through a pool and go through a bubble car wash. The rings are free of charge and act as a symbol of good luck. Kids must be at least 48 inches tall to ride this one.Īt the Reindeer Shoe Blacksmith Shop, a blacksmith will make a ring to fit your child. Then head to the far table where there are different color icings that the kids can use to decorate their cookies before indulging.Īfter a journey through the Yule forest, you will head up a logging ramp before splashing back down. It brings back all of those happy memories.Īt the Sugar n’ Spice Bake Shop, kids can pick out a gingerbread man or woman. We always get a Christmas ornament with our photo and the kids love putting it on the tree each year. At the end of the ride, you will have your picture taken and an opportunity to purchase one. Santa’s reindeer are always hungry for visitors! At the Reindeer Rendezvous, you can purchase a cup of carrots for $2 and watch Dasher, Dancer, Prancer, Vixen, Comet, Cupid, Donner and Blizten gobble them up. I like that besides the professional photo you have an opportunity to purchase, they also let you take a photo on your own camera or phone. One of the most fun things to do is visit Santa Claus in his home! Kids can have their picture taken with Santa and let him know what they are hoping for under the tree that year. ![]()
